Prince Harry’s popularity has seen an uptick among the British public following a recent YouGov poll. The survey, conducted quarterly, indicates a potential shift in sentiment towards the Duke of Sussex after his reunion with King Charles.
On July 10, Harry, accompanied by his wife Meghan Markle and their children, visited Highgrove during a five-day trip to the UK, marking the monarch’s first meeting with his California-based grandchildren in several years.
The impact of this meeting is evident in the latest poll results from July 21-22, conducted eleven days post-reunion. Harry’s favorability has risen from 30% in the previous poll to 33% in the recent survey. Notably, his approval rating has increased steadily by six percentage points since May 2025. Despite the boost, 58% of respondents still hold a negative view of Harry, with nine percent expressing uncertainty.
Meanwhile, King Charles has achieved his highest approval rating as monarch, with 68% of the public acknowledging his performance. The findings suggest sustained public goodwill towards Charles, maintaining a favorable rating between 59% and 63% over the past two years.
The Prince and Princess of Wales maintain their top positions, with a 76% and 74% favorability rating, respectively, consistent over recent years. Princess Anne follows closely in third place with a 70% favorable rating, while Edward and Sophie received 53% and 51% approval, respectively.
On the lower end of the scale, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie received lower favorability ratings of 30% and 29%, respectively. Although the sisters have been less visible recently, their ratings were noted in the July 2026 poll.
Meghan Markle received a modest 22% approval rating in the poll, while Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor received the lowest score of two percent, with a substantial 92% of respondents viewing him unfavorably.
