“Princess Eugenie Steps Down from King’s Foundation Role”

Date:

Princess Eugenie has recently stepped down from her position with The King’s Foundation after serving for just one year. The daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson was appointed as a mentor for the ‘35 under 35’ initiative in May 2025, which aimed to empower young leaders in the fashion, architecture, and environmental activism sectors.

As King Charles’ niece and expecting her third child, Eugenie had initially commended the Foundation for its work aligned with the King’s interests. However, after a year, she has decided to withdraw from her role. During her tenure, she reportedly attended only one official event.

Reports suggest that Eugenie’s involvement with the organization was always intended for the Foundation’s 35th anniversary year, naturally concluding her affiliation. She had interacted with the program participants on multiple occasions, offering guidance and support. The King’s Foundation has been approached for a statement.

Eugenie’s sole public appearance for the foundation occurred in November last year when she addressed a network mentors brunch in Soho, emphasizing the importance of mentorship and how her love for the arts influenced her career as a gallery director at Hauser and Wirth.

In a separate development, Eugenie also resigned from Anti-Slavery International following her father’s recent arrest. Her profile was removed from the charity’s website, where her work against modern slavery was previously highlighted.

Despite these changes, Eugenie maintains a positive relationship with her uncle, King Charles, who expressed joy over her pregnancy announcement made at Buckingham Palace. Alongside her husband Jack Brooksbank, Eugenie shared the news of their upcoming third child, adding to their family with sons August and Ernest.
