The uncle of a man suspected of being involved in the murder of Ann Widdecombe expressed shock upon learning about the arrest. The 28-year-old nephew was apprehended at his residence in Rotherham by armed police on Saturday evening. The 73-year-old relative, who preferred not to be identified, described feeling shaken by the news.
According to reports, the suspect is believed to have attacked the 78-year-old former Tory minister in her bungalow in Haytor Vale near Dartmoor, Devon, resulting in her death. The police found her body with significant injuries a day after the incident. The arrested individual, a white British man, is currently under custody on suspicion of murder and terrorism-related charges.
