Resort employees are being praised as heroes for a video showing them clearing towels from sunbeds reserved by guests who were not using them. The viral footage has delighted travelers frustrated with the practice of saving loungers for hours without actually sitting on them.
The incident took place at Camping Le Marsouins in Argelès-sur-Mer, near Perpignan, France. As many holiday destinations implement rules against saving unoccupied sunbeds, the campsite staff decided to take action themselves.
The video, which has amassed over three million views and 80,000 likes, depicted two staff members in distinctive yellow and red uniforms gathering towels from vacant loungers. They stacked the abandoned towels on one sunbed, making the remaining ones available for active pool users.
The individual who filmed the video, Vir Ginie, shared the reason behind the staff’s intervention. She explained that the goal was to free up unattended sun loungers, as guests often reserve them early in the day but only return later, causing inconvenience to other visitors during peak times.
