The incident referred to the recent stripping of Prince Andrew’s royal titles and honors by King Charles in October. Security intervened to diffuse the situation, allowing William and Kate to engage with the Stirlingshire community, including teachers, who greeted them warmly after the initial disruption.
During their visit, the royal couple met with the publican of The Goth, a historic pub operating under the Gothenburg system since 1910. They learned that 95% of the pub’s profits are channeled into various community projects, supporting families in need, food banks, local charities, and hospices.
Additionally, Prince William and Princess Kate participated in a curling session at the National Curling Academy in Stirling. They interacted with Team GB and Paralympic GB curling teams, trying their hand at the sport alongside the athletes. The royals expressed their support for the upcoming Winter Paralympic Games in Milano-Cortina and shared their experience with local children.
Bruce Mouat, skip of the men’s curling team, appreciated the royal visit and their well wishes for the upcoming competitions. He mentioned that Kate and William were gracious and expressed their intention to watch the games, which was a source of encouragement for the athletes.
