“Royal Wedding: Princess of Wales’ Valuable New Ally”

Date:

A new member of the royal family is being praised as a valuable ally for the Princess of Wales, Harriet Sperling, who is set to marry Peter Phillips next weekend. The wedding will take place in Kemble, Gloucestershire, on June 6, with several royal relatives expected to attend, including Princess Anne, King Charles, and Prince William. The ceremony will be held at All Saints Church. Peter Phillips, 48, is the son of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, and the brother of Zara Tindall.

Living near his mother’s Gatcombe Park estate in Minchinhampton, Mr. Phillips split from his first wife, Autumn, in 2020 after a 12-year marriage. They share custody of their two children, Savannah and Isla. Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling, who started dating in 2024, got engaged in August last year.

Harriet, a 45-year-old NHS nurse, shares a passion for fashion with Kate Middleton, often seen wearing brands like Self Portrait and Beulah. She recently created a fashion buzz when spotted wearing a Dilli Grey dress, leading to increased demand for the brand.

Both Harriet and Kate share a dedication to childhood development. Harriet, specializing in pediatric nursing, is enthusiastic about early brain development in babies and children’s well-being. She was part of a team that saved the life of a critically ill baby named Phineas at just three weeks old in 2010.

With the recent changes in the royal household, female allies around Kate’s age are limited. Harriet, known for her writing and openness about her Christian faith and single motherhood, has been welcomed into the royal circle. She has been seen engaging with King Charles at Royal Ascot and is a regular attendee at major events like Cheltenham and Wimbledon.

The engagement of Harriet and Peter Phillips was announced in August last year, receiving warm support from both families. The guest list for their wedding is expected to include Queen Camilla, Prince Edward, Sophie, Princess Anne, Captain Mark Phillips, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, Zara Tindall, Mike Tindall, and their children. Peter’s daughters from his previous marriage and Harriet’s daughter, Georgina, will also participate in the ceremony.

While it remains uncertain if Prince William and Kate Middleton will bring their children to the event, it is unlikely that Sarah Ferguson, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle will attend.
