A significant emergency response is currently underway in North Yorkshire following reports from witnesses indicating a person in distress in the River Wharfe.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was observed landing near the river in the village of Burnsall, located north of Skipton, at approximately 7 pm on Sunday. Yorkshire Ambulance Service and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are also present at the scene.
