Russian state TV host Vladimir Solovyov has called for Russia to retaliate against Britain following the use of UK-supplied Storm Shadow missiles to destroy a crucial Kremlin war facility. The attack, which targeted a key Silicon El microelectronics plant producing components for Russian missiles, has sparked outrage. Solovyov accused the British of orchestrating the strike, emphasizing the involvement of Storm Shadow missiles.
The plant’s significance lies in its production of advanced components for various Russian missiles and defense systems, including Iskander ballistic missiles and submarine-launched nuclear missiles. The recent Ukrainian strikes deep inside Russian territory have caused significant damage to vital military assets, prompting Solovyov to question why retaliatory strikes against British interests have not been carried out.
In another development, Ukraine launched an attack on an oil transshipment complex, Tikhoretskaya, while Putin aims to capitalize on rising oil prices due to the ongoing conflict in Iran. The facility, a critical hub for oil exports and supplies to Black Sea tankers, was engulfed in flames following the assault.
Additionally, reports indicate that Putin’s favorite resort, Sochi, faced a prolonged drone attack from Ukraine, resulting in further civilian casualties. Tragic incidents include the death of a 15-year-old girl in the Chernihiv region and multiple injuries to law enforcement officers and civilians in various Ukrainian regions as a result of Russian strikes.
This escalation of hostilities highlights the intensifying conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with both sides exchanging deadly strikes and causing widespread devastation.
