Metropolitan detectives have pressed charges against a second individual in connection with a deadly stabbing incident in Primrose Hill.
Khalid Abdulqadir, a resident of Camden aged 18, faces charges of grievous bodily harm with intent, violent disorder, and possession of a knife. The arrest of Abdulqadir took place on April 12.
Scheduled to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court later today, Abdulqadir’s charges come after another man, Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, was accused of the murder of Finbar Sullivan, a student of filmmaking who tragically lost his life following the purported assault at the scenic location in north London.
At a brief hearing in Stratford Magistrates’ Court, Ogunyankinnu denied the allegations, stating, “I didn’t kill anybody, I didn’t stab anybody, they’ve got the wrong person,” before being escorted to the cells. District Judge Ashwinder Gill deemed the case too severe for the magistrates’ court and decided to transfer it to the Central Criminal Court.
The incident unfolded when the police responded to a disturbance in Primrose Hill around 6.30 pm on a Tuesday. Christopher, the father of Finbar, disclosed that his son sustained fatal injuries, with a leg wound causing severe bleeding that led to his demise. Christopher recounted that Finbar had ventured to the beauty spot that day to experiment with a new camera he had purchased for his 21st birthday. A distressing call from Finbar’s friend two hours later alerted Christopher to the tragic event.
The Metropolitan Police are actively investigating the case and urge anyone with pertinent information to share it via the police major incident portal or contact the authorities on 101, citing reference 6448/07Apr. Alternatively, individuals can provide anonymous tips through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
