Some Sky customers are facing an annoying issue with the popular ITVX app. The problem started recently, with users reporting that their viewing experience is being disrupted by a glitch that causes programs to skip to the end unexpectedly. This means that viewers could be in the middle of a show and suddenly find themselves at the end credits without manually fast-forwarding.
On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky complained about the ITV Player skipping to the end of episodes without warning, making it challenging to watch shows. Another user named Dawn also shared similar issues of programs jumping to the end randomly, usually at the start or after an ad break.
The problem seems to be affecting users with Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. It is uncertain if Sky Q devices are also impacted, but most complaints are from users with broadband-connected gadgets rather than satellite receivers.
There is no clear explanation for the issue yet, but a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the problem and assured users that they are working on a solution. Kev mentioned that they are collaborating with ITV to address the issue and will provide updates as soon as possible.
For now, users may have to endure the skipping problem, but a resolution is hopefully in progress. Mirror Online will keep readers informed as more information becomes available.
