A young woman who previously pretended to have cancer evolved into a ruthless murderer by the age of 20, with a bizarre motive for the crime. Sierra Inscoe from Prentiss, Mississippi, orchestrated a plan to lure Carson Sistrunk, whom she met on Snapchat, for a date in September 2022. Tragically, Carson, a resident of Rankin County, never returned home and was discovered dead in an oilfield days later.
This chilling incident was recently highlighted by Adrian, the creator of the popular YouTube channel Coffeehouse Crime, who emphasized Sierra’s lack of conscience based on her past actions. Sierra is now serving a lengthy prison sentence for her heinous act, which was featured on Channel 4’s show Social Media Monsters.
Carson, a kind-hearted 24-year-old, was described by his family as a gentle giant standing at 6ft 4in tall. Before his untimely demise, he connected with Sierra on Snapchat, leading to their plans for a meetup.
According to Prosecutor Laurel Blue Brinkley, Sierra had a malevolent intention concealed behind a facade of fun when she met Carson. She had falsely boasted to many individuals about acquiring a truck by her birthday, a truck that Carson owned.
Carson informed his mother, Darlene, about his date plans with a woman he met on Snapchat over the Labor Day weekend in September 2022. Despite Sierra’s deceitful past in Florida, Carson was unaware of her duplicitous nature and agreed to the rendezvous.
Following the weekend, Carson failed to show up for work in Pearl, Mississippi, prompting his worried mother to report him missing. Law enforcement traced his last transaction to a gas station in New Hebron, where they eventually found Sierra with Carson’s truck and keys.
Initially denying any knowledge of Carson’s whereabouts, Sierra’s lies crumbled when blood traces were discovered in the truck. Subsequently, Carson’s body, riddled with gunshot wounds, was found in an oilfield. Surveillance footage revealed Sierra in Carson’s truck, contradicting her claims of not knowing him.
Sierra ultimately confessed to the murder in July 2024, avoiding a trial by pleading guilty. She received a 35-year prison sentence for the cold-blooded killing, with a projected release date in 2059.
