An influencer and her partner were found dead, shot and abandoned on a remote roadside as authorities intensify the search for their assailant or assailants.
Ulissias Marcelli Couto Flores Cardial, also known as Miss Tattoo, a 30-year-old fire performer and social media personality, was discovered deceased alongside her partner, Vinícius Souza de Carvalho, 28.
Law enforcement officials are investigating the possibility that the couple may have been kidnapped before being killed.
The former beauty queen, survived by her 13-year-old son, was located on July 18th near Vinícius on a rural side street in Porto Seguro, Brazil.
According to police, the couple was shot the day before, and investigators recovered seven spent 9mm cartridge casings and two projectiles at the scene.
Ulissias’ mobile phone was confiscated for examination, while Vinícius’ device was missing.
The influencer, with over 20,000 Instagram followers, frequently shared content on rock music, motorcycling, and animal welfare. She had also won a local beauty pageant in 2021.
Both individuals were local residents employed in the events industry, with Ulissias scheduled to appear at an upcoming music festival.
Paying tribute on social media, Ulissias’ mother mourned: “Go in peace, my loves. You leave an immortal legacy. We will miss you dearly – this is such a heartbreaking loss.”
Event organizers expressed sorrow over her sudden absence, stating: “Today, with profound sadness, we bid farewell to her presence among us. It is difficult to believe that someone who was about to share such a special moment with us has left so soon.”
As the investigation remains ongoing, no arrests have been made yet.
