“Spring in Sight: Warm Weather to Grace UK in March”

Date:

Britons can look forward to a period of warm weather with plenty of sunshine and temperatures reaching the high teens next month. After enduring a winter of Arctic blasts and sporadic showers, signs of spring are finally on the horizon. The Met Office forecasts that high pressure will dominate the start of March, bringing dry conditions.

According to WXCharts, temperatures are expected to rise in early to mid-March, particularly in southeastern England. Eastern England could see highs of 17°C on March 5, with similar temperatures in the following days. However, the north of the UK may experience cooler temperatures struggling to reach double figures.

A temperature anomaly map indicates warmer-than-average temperatures in the south and east of England during the same period. The Met Office’s forecast for March 4 to 13 suggests that the southeast will enjoy the best weather conditions, with high pressure leading to dry weather, variable cloud cover, and some sunshine.

While the south and east are expected to remain warm, the north and west of the UK may experience occasional rain and strong winds from frontal systems. Some areas might even see snow on high ground in the north. Temperatures will be around or above normal, with the possibility of overnight frost at times.

Looking ahead to later in March, the Met Office warns of potentially unsettled weather with “colder patterns.” From March 14 to 28, conditions may be more unsettled in the west and northwest, while the east and southeast could see drier and brighter weather. Towards the end of the month, there is uncertainty about whether the weather will trend towards more unsettled or settled patterns.

Overall, temperatures are expected to be near or above average, with a chance of trending colder towards the end of March.
