A woman working as a teaching assistant who sexually abused a 12-year-old boy near his friends has been sentenced to over 51 years in prison. Anna Marie Crocker, aged 34, was also found guilty of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy in a parking lot. Court documents revealed that she groomed the boy through Snapchat before carrying out the assault.
Additionally, Crocker was accused of sending sexually explicit messages to a 13-year-old and a 16-year-old boy. Just before her arrest in October 2024, she even invited the older teen to her home for sex. According to the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office, Crocker pleaded guilty to seven felonies, including first-degree child sexual assault and second-degree sexual assault of a child, resulting in a sentence of 51-and-a-half years behind bars.
During the court proceedings, it was mentioned that Crocker woke up the 12-year-old boy while he was sleeping in a basement with his friends. The victim reported the abuse in 2024, stating that the woman removed his underwear and assaulted him in front of the other kids who were asleep.
After the incident, Crocker sent a text to the victim demanding an apology for what happened. When authorities checked her phone, they discovered disturbing videos. Crocker expressed her remorse during the sentencing, acknowledging the harm and trauma caused to the victims.
Before her arrest, Crocker worked as a teaching assistant in Wisconsin, starting as a substitute in 2020 before becoming a full-time employee the following year. District Attorney Xavier Solis emphasized the breach of trust in this case and highlighted the severe consequences for anyone exploiting children in schools.
As part of her sentence, Crocker will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
