A teenager has been apprehended in connection with a series of alleged sexual assaults that occurred at a Sainsbury’s superstore. Sussex Police disclosed that multiple women reported incidents on an escalator at the Rustington, West Sussex branch of the store.
Law enforcement confirmed that a 19-year-old male from Littlehampton was arrested for sexual assault by touching after collaborative investigations with Sainsbury’s security. Individuals who witnessed the incidents or possess relevant information are urged to come forward.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police stated, “Following our investigations in cooperation with Sainsbury’s security, a 19-year-old male from Littlehampton has been arrested for sexual assault by touching.” The police encourage witnesses and victims to reach out by contacting 101 and quoting serial number 1021 of 02/05.
