Police have apprehended a teenager following reports of a severe sexual assault against a girl in a park. The alleged incident occurred on Sunday, February 15 in Romford. The victim was promptly taken to the hospital after engaging with law enforcement officers at the scene.
Authorities have confirmed the arrest of an 18-year-old male in connection with the assault, and he is currently in police custody. It has been stated that there are no plans to interview any additional individuals regarding the assault. According to a spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police, the suspect and the victim are believed to be acquainted with each other.
