Leading loyalty schemes in the UK have been unveiled, with Tesco Clubcard emerging as the top choice among consumers.
A comprehensive survey involving 2,200 participants was conducted as part of the Retail Loyalty Index, which assessed loyalty programs offered by 51 major retailers in the UK.
Respondents rated their satisfaction levels with the loyalty programs, likelihood of recommending them, the personalization of rewards, and the security of personal information handling by the retailers.
Each retailer received a score out of ten based on these factors to determine their ranking.
Tesco Clubcard claimed the top spot with an overall score of 8.38, praised by shoppers for its generosity and variety of redemption options, which enhance affordability and convenience in shopping.
Tesco excelled with the highest score for customer retention at 9.16, with patrons incorporating Clubcard into their regular shopping routines.
Members of the Clubcard program earn one point for every £1 spent both in-store and online, accumulating points that can be redeemed for discounts with various partners such as Disney+, restaurants, and travel experiences.
Coming in second place was Leon Club with an overall score of 8.20, earning commendation for high satisfaction and recommendation ratings.
Leon Club app users accrue 100 points for every £1 spent, becoming eligible for a complimentary menu item upon reaching 3,000 points.
Feedback from users highlights the program’s user-friendliness, attractive perks, and faster accumulation of rewards compared to other loyalty schemes, indicating a positive trajectory despite store restructuring following administration.
