Three Irish individuals lost their lives in a tragic accident in southern Spain, as confirmed by an Irish government official. The incident occurred when two vehicles collided on the A7 motorway near Malaga in the early hours of the morning. Subsequently, one of the vehicles plunged down an embankment. Additionally, a fourth Irish national sustained serious injuries in the crash.
According to reports from the Irish Mirror, all four individuals were reportedly from Mullingar in Co Westmeath and were in their late 20s to early 30s. Upon the collision, emergency services, including firefighters and Civil Guard officers, responded to the scene.

He mentioned having spoken to one of the affected families, who were devastated by the news they received on Sunday evening. Troy emphasized the community’s sorrow over the incident and extended thoughts and prayers to all affected families.
Helen McEntee, the minister for foreign affairs, described the incident as a tragic accident, emphasizing the importance of supporting the affected families. She offered condolences and stated that immediate assistance was being provided by her department and An Garda Siochana. McEntee stressed the need to ascertain the details of the accident.
