“Tragic Collision Claims Life of 5-Year-Old Girl in Lancashire”

A tragic incident resulted in the death of a five-year-old girl and severe injuries to three others, including a five-year-old boy, following a collision on the A59 in Gisburn, Lancashire. The crash involved a Skoda Karoq and a VW Golf R, with the Skoda driver, a woman in her 60s, and the two child passengers sustaining severe injuries.

Sadly, the young girl passed away in the hospital on Tuesday, as confirmed by Lancashire Police. The family is receiving support from specialized officers during this difficult time. The Skoda driver and the boy are still hospitalized for treatment, while the VW Golf R driver, a man in his 20s, is also receiving medical care as a witness in the investigation.

Sgt Laura Kendall from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit expressed her condolences to the girl’s family and emphasized the importance of avoiding speculation about the incident. She urged witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage of the collision to come forward and assist the ongoing investigation.
