The tragic discovery of a teenage girl’s body occurred in a park in North Walsham. Courtney Morgan, described by her loved ones as a unique individual, was found in Memorial Park on February 12. Emergency services responded to reports of a body just after 7 am. Norfolk Police confirmed that Courtney, from Norwich, was pronounced dead at the scene, with her next of kin notified shortly thereafter.
Courtney’s grieving parents fondly remembered her as a deeply cherished individual, as an inquest into her death is scheduled to proceed. Prior to the inquest, her heartbroken parents expressed, “Courtney was truly exceptional – she displayed kindness and compassion to everyone she encountered. She was actively engaged in the army cadets and dedicated her time to teaching younger children how to skate at the local club.”
They further added, “Courtney brought positivity wherever she went – be it through humor or her warm, infectious smile. We miss her immensely and will forever carry her love and laughter in our hearts.” In a separate incident, the parents of Inaayah Makda, a seven-year-old from Blackburn, shared a sorrowful update.
Inaayah was swept into the sea by a sudden wave while sitting on coastal rocks on January 29. Her parents, Zubair and Tasneem Makda, were also affected by the wave and ended up in the water. Regrettably, despite extensive search efforts involving volunteers, divers, and charities, Inaayah remains unaccounted for. Almost a month later, her parents released a statement describing the ongoing search efforts as they navigate through this unimaginably difficult period.
Despite the relentless search, the parents acknowledged the possibility of having to eventually cease the physical search and place their trust entirely in divine will.
