A young woman known for her kind nature met a tragic end at a gathering in Huddersfield last summer. Bradford Coroners’ Court revealed that Polly Zajdler, aged 29, attended the event on August 8 accompanied by her boyfriend Scott. Reports stated that she consumed alcohol and a mix of controlled and prescribed medications during the party. Concerned about Zajdler’s condition, her friends assisted her to bed after noticing her unsteadiness.
Scott, checking on Zajdler at 5 am the next day, discovered her unresponsive. Immediate action was taken by calling for an ambulance, but despite efforts to revive her, Zajdler passed away. Assistant coroner Caroline Chandler’s findings indicated the presence of various drugs in Zajdler’s system, with the combination contributing to her demise. Authorities confirmed no foul play in her death, noting that three others at the party had also consumed a similar mix of drugs and alcohol.
Chandler mentioned that the interaction between the substances amplified sedative effects, leading to respiratory complications. A fundraising initiative was initiated by Zajdler’s loved ones to aid in covering her funeral expenses. Described as a free-spirited individual with a passion for music and animals, Zajdler, who worked as a care navigator and studied photography, left a lasting impact on those around her.

Nearly 200 individuals contributed to the cause, showcasing the community’s outpouring of love and support for Zajdler and her family.
