With the rising number of cases nearing 30, Juliette’s family disclosed the final moments of their beloved daughter, with her father emphasizing her courage throughout the ordeal. Michael recounted that they noticed something was amiss when Juliette began vomiting and showed cheek discoloration on Friday, despite her usual good health. Swiftly seeking medical attention, she received antibiotics at a local emergency facility before being transported by ambulance to the A&E department.
Despite a valiant fight supported by dedicated NHS personnel, meningitis claimed Juliette’s life within 12 hours. Her family was by her side, whispering words of love and admiration in her ears as she passed away. Her father expressed immense pride in Juliette, describing her as a vibrant presence in the world whose untimely demise has left their family devastated.
Advocating for an expansion of the UK’s vaccination program, Juliette’s family urged the government to take action following the outbreak that has affected 29 individuals thus far. NHS Kent and Medway have significantly ramped up vaccination efforts, administering approximately 4,514 doses in the region on the latest day. Additionally, over 10,561 antibiotics have been distributed, with plans to acquire more doses to combat the ongoing spread of the infection.
