Former President Donald Trump faced criticism for a series of unusual late-night social media posts, including sharing an AI-generated image featuring himself, Vice President, and Senator Marco Rubio paddling shirtless in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. Trump’s posts on Truth Social also included images of the Reflecting Pool, one of which criticized its appearance during the Obama administration. Additionally, Trump posted a photo of Melania Trump smiling after an assassination attempt during the White House Correspondents’ dinner. Furthermore, he attacked Hakeem Jeffries, the Democrat Minority Leader of the US House of Representatives, labeling him as “low IQ” and a “thug.”
Another post depicted Trump’s face superimposed next to Mount Rushmore, suggesting his own inclusion alongside the faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln on the iconic monument. In 2025, Representative Anna Paulina Luna proposed a bill to carve Trump’s figure on Mount Rushmore, but the idea did not advance beyond the committee stage.
Trump also shared AI-generated images, including one showing him holding UNO cards with the word ‘Wild,’ accompanied by the caption “I have all the cards.” Commenting on Trump’s social media activity, political commentator Harry Sisson remarked on the rapid succession of posts, expressing concerns about Trump’s mental state.
The controversy escalated when Trump shared an image portraying himself as Jesus Christ performing a healing miracle, later claiming he believed it depicted him as a doctor supporting the Red Cross. Trump dismissed criticism as “fake news” and reiterated his belief in his ability to heal and help people.
