US President Donald Trump was seen with a noticeable bruise on his hand today. A pharmacist suggested that hand bruising could be linked to common medications or the natural aging process, resulting in fragile skin. This incident follows recent concerns about Trump’s mental acuity, highlighted by his repeated confusion between Greenland and Iceland during a speech at the World Economic Forum.
Photographs captured Trump’s bruised hand during a signing event for his new initiative, the ‘Board of Peace,’ in Davos. The bruise extended from his middle finger’s knuckle to the base of his thumb, displaying shades of red and black-blue with a slightly swollen appearance.
The White House attributed the bruise to Trump accidentally hitting his hand on the signing table at the event. They noted his increased susceptibility to bruising due to daily aspirin use.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt explained, “At the Board of Peace event in Davos, President Trump accidentally hit his hand on the table corner, causing the bruise.” The bruise reportedly developed gradually over about 10 minutes.
According to a pharmacist, as people age, their skin becomes thinner and more prone to bruising, especially in areas like the hands and arms. The pharmacist, Thorrun Govind, emphasized the need to investigate recurring or unexplained bruising.
Moreover, the pharmacist highlighted that medications like aspirin, if taken daily as claimed by the White House, can increase the likelihood of bruising from minor injuries. Leavitt previously attributed Trump’s bruising to “tissue damage from frequent handshaking,” citing a similar incident during a handshake with the French President.
In addition to the physical observation, Trump’s mental competence has been scrutinized following his repeated geographical mix-up between Greenland and Iceland. Psychologist Dr. John Gartner pointed out signs of cognitive decline in Trump’s speech patterns, suggesting a potential deterioration in his verbal abilities over time.
Despite these concerns, Trump asserted last year that he excelled in brain function tests, with his physician confirming his excellent overall health following a medical assessment.
