Donald Trump shared that his recent medical evaluation results indicated everything was in excellent condition. The US president posted on Truth Social, expressing gratitude to the medical team at Walter Reed Military Medical Center for a successful six-month physical examination. Trump, who will turn 80 on June 14, visited the medical center in Bethesda, Maryland, for his annual check-up. This marked his third visit in 13 months.
Over the past year, there has been public attention on minor health concerns involving Trump, such as swollen ankles and a bruised hand in July 2025 and a neck rash in more recent photos. White House doctor Sean Barbabella mentioned that Trump was using a common cream for a preventive skin treatment for the neck rash but did not disclose further details.
Following the publication of images showing the president’s leg and hand issues in July, Barbabella clarified that the conditions were benign, with no sign of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease. Trump’s leg swelling was attributed to a common vein condition, and hand bruising was linked to frequent handshaking, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
In October, Trump revealed that he underwent a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan, which was initially undisclosed by the White House. Leavitt stated that the MRI results indicated exceptional physical health. Medical professionals pointed out that MRIs are not standard in routine check-ups but are used for detailed body imaging.
Barbabella’s memo post the second examination mentioned that Trump’s cardiac age, determined from ECG readings, was about 14 years younger than his actual age.
