The prevailing high-pressure hot air, with temperatures exceeding 44C in France, is moving towards the British Isles, establishing a new center in southwest England. According to Jim Dale, a senior meteorologist at British Weather Services, conditions may worsen on Thursday as the heat dome lingers, drawing in hot air from France, Spain, and eventually North Africa, increasing humidity levels.
