Prior to the ceasefire on April 8, the Iranian government had expressed intentions to target US and Israeli-affiliated sites in the Gulf. This included organizations, businesses, infrastructure, and facilities linked to the US and Israel. Iran has a history of targeting various civilian structures in the region, such as ports, hotels, roads, energy facilities, and airports.
