A family is seeking help in locating a man who went missing after he was supposed to return to the UK from Spain. Paul Daniel Strange, 70, disappeared on the day he was scheduled to drive back from Palomares in Almeria to Essex, where he resides. The retired builder and locksmith, who hails from Leigh-on-Sea, had been staying at a friend’s apartment.
Concerned family members shared that the police have initiated a search for the pensioner as the mystery surrounding his disappearance deepens. A neighbor reportedly saw him leaving the property, but upon a friend’s inspection after his disappearance, his belongings, including a computer and clothes, were found inside.
Mr. Strange’s son, also named Paul, expressed their worry, stating that they have alerted the authorities in Essex, who are coordinating with Interpol and Spanish police. They are urging him to contact them as his phone has been unreachable since Thursday, which is unusual behavior for him.
The missing man frequently travels to Spain to visit friends and usually maintains contact with his family. However, this time there has been no communication. He was expected to depart for Calais last Thursday in his silver Sprinter van with a Carp fish picture on the back. The vehicle bears a UK registration plate YE19 FAU. Descriptions of his appearance and habits were provided to aid in the search efforts.
The family emphasized that his sudden disappearance is uncharacteristic, as he is described as a healthy and content individual with no apparent reason to vanish voluntarily. The situation has left them deeply concerned about his safety and well-being.
