“UK Ski and Spa Travel Company Travel Bespoke Shuts Down”

Date:

A UK travel company specializing in ski and spa holidays has shut down, prompting customers with existing bookings to take immediate action.

Operating under the names Chalet Bespoke, Ski Bespoke, and Spa Bespoke since 2011, Travel Bespoke Ltd is no longer operational, and its websites are offline. The company was headquartered in Midhurst, West Sussex.

Ski Bespoke’s active X page detailed the company’s customized ski trips to various destinations in Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, and the USA.

The Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing (ATOL) financial protection scheme confirmed Travel Bespoke’s closure as an ATOL holder on May 29. ATOL notified affected customers directly and advised those eligible to make a claim to send their booking details and supporting documents to claims@caa.co.uk by the May 28, 2027 deadline.

ATOL emphasized that bookings sold as accommodation-only, non-flight packages, or cruise-only bookings without a flight component are not covered under the scheme. Customers can visit ATOL’s claims information page to determine if their booking falls under ATOL protection or to explore alternative refund options.

Recent weeks have seen Travel Bespoke join the list of travel firms going out of business. Another long-standing company, Groupia Ltd, went into administration after 24 years of operation, impacting over 750,000 holidaymakers who used its brands like Groupia Golf, GoHen, StagWeb, Groupia School Trips, and Company Away Day.

All UK travel companies selling holidays or flights must hold an Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL) number, ensuring protection for consumers in case of insolvency. It is crucial to verify the legitimacy of the firm you book with to safeguard your travel plans.

In the event of a travel company’s insolvency, having comprehensive travel insurance that covers such scenarios is advisable. Credit card protection, including chargeback schemes for Mastercard and Visa debit cards, can also help in reclaiming funds for holiday or flight payments exceeding £100 made directly to the company or airline.
