Police have provided an update on the investigation concerning the death of a woman in the Greater Manchester area. Firefighters swiftly responded to a fire at Higher Tunshill Farm in Milnrow, Rochdale, around 12:30 pm on Friday, where the body of a woman was discovered. Initially, authorities launched a murder inquiry.
A spokesperson from the Greater Manchester Police stated that emergency services were alerted to a fire at the farm, leading to the tragic discovery of the woman’s body. A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder but has been released on bail as investigations continue with no third-party involvement suspected in the woman’s death.
In a recent update, the police confirmed that after thorough investigations following the woman’s death, no external parties were involved. The arrested man in his 40s has been released without further action for now. The case will be referred to the coroner for an inquest in the future.
