“US Criticizes UK Policing Disparity After Teen’s Tragic Death”

Date:

The Trump administration has criticized what it calls “two-tiered policing” in the UK after the tragic death of teenager Henry Nowak, echoing remarks made by Nigel Farage that have caused uproar.

Nowak, 18, was fatally stabbed in Southampton last December by Vickrum Digwa, 23, and was then handcuffed by officers as he lay injured on the ground.

Following the release of the video footage, Hampshire Constabulary issued an apology to Nowak’s family for the distress caused by the officers’ actions, acknowledging mistakes were made in handling the situation.

In response, the US State Department stated on social media that “Ideological conditioning and two-tiered policing are clear signs of societal decline that must be rejected throughout the Western world.”

Expressing condolences, the U.S. extended sympathies to Nowak’s family and the people of the United Kingdom during this troubling period.

These sentiments mirror those of Farage, who asserted in Parliament that there is a system of “two-tier policing” in the country, with differential treatment based on ethnicity.

In contrast, Sir Keir Starmer dismissed Farage’s remarks as “unforgivable” and denied the existence of two-tier policing in the UK.

Digwa, who used a kirpan, a ceremonial Sikh dagger, to deliver the fatal blow, received a life sentence for the crime.

The incident has sparked widespread protests across Britain, with demonstrators demanding justice for Nowak.

Despite apologies from Hampshire’s Chief Constable to Nowak’s family, the violent protests in Southampton led to injuries of eleven police officers and two arrests.

The National Police Chiefs’ Council has pledged to review the situation, acknowledging concerns and seeking clarity, with support from No 10 in removing any ambiguity.
