Reports revealed over 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard small boats were among the targets, with explosions reported in various Iranian locations. Infrastructure such as a railway bridge in Golestan province and two bridges confirmed by the Revolutionary Guard were also struck.
President Trump shared an image on social media depicting buildings on fire, purportedly in Iran, as a response to recent incidents. The ongoing hostilities risk disrupting Gulf shipping and prolonging the conflict initiated by the US and Israel in February.
Amid doubts over a ceasefire agreement, President Trump expressed skepticism, labeling the opposing party as unworthy of negotiation. Despite claiming military victory, he expressed uncertainty about Iran’s commitment to a future deal.
Iranian officials criticized Trump’s remarks as a sign of failure, rejecting intimidation tactics. The struggle for control over the Strait of Hormuz has been a focal point of negotiations, with a temporary agreement securing passage for a limited period pending further talks on Iran’s nuclear program.
