Woman Alleges Trafficking by Ex-Prince at Royal Residence

Date:

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been reported to authorities after a woman alleged that she was trafficked for sexual purposes involving the ex-prince at a royal residence. Following recent disclosures from the Epstein files, another woman, who was in her 20s at the time, has stepped forward, claiming she was sent to the UK by Epstein.

As per the BBC, the woman’s attorney, Brad Edwards from the US firm Edwards Henderson, stated that the incident occurred at Royal Lodge in Windsor, as reported by the Express. This marks the first instance where a survivor has claimed an encounter at a royal residence. Campaign group Republic took the initiative to report the matter to the police, citing that the allegations fall under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 due to their 2010 timeline, unlike the previous claims by Virginia Guiffre in 2001, which were not covered by the legislation.

Graham Smith, CEO of Republic, emphasized the importance of Andrew facing questions in a London police station rather than the US Congress, stressing the need for equal treatment under the law. Thames Valley Police acknowledged the reports regarding a woman brought to Windsor in 2010 for sexual reasons and stated they are evaluating the information according to their protocols.

The police reiterated their commitment to taking sexual crime reports seriously and urged individuals with relevant information to come forward. However, they clarified that neither the lawyer nor their client had officially reported the allegations to Thames Valley Police at that time.
