“15-year-old boy arrested for kidnapping 17-year-old girl in Melbourne”

Date:

A 15-year-old teenager was taken into custody after reportedly kidnapping a 17-year-old girl outside her school in south-east Melbourne. The incident occurred as the girl was entering Keysborough Secondary College’s Banksia Campus in Springvale South around 8:30 am on Friday and was approached by the boy who allegedly forced her into a vehicle that then left the area, as stated by the police.

Law enforcement quickly responded to the situation, leading to the arrest of the 15-year-old boy from Wyndham, which is approximately an hour’s drive from the school. He has been formally charged with abduction and is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday. The reason behind the alleged abduction remains unknown at this time.

Fortunately, the girl was taken to the hospital in stable condition, and authorities believe that the individuals involved have some prior connection. A spokesperson from Victoria Police mentioned that detectives from the Armed Crime Squad pressed charges against the teenage boy in relation to the reported abduction incident in Springvale South. The investigation unfolded with the claim that the girl was accosted by a male while entering the college on Janine Road in the morning.

After the boy’s arrest on Jezebel Way in Tarneit, the girl was promptly admitted to the hospital. The boy’s charge of abduction will be addressed in court later in the day. It is suspected that there was some level of acquaintance between the parties involved.
