An elderly woman, aged 84, has passed away following an alleged stabbing incident involving her son. Doris Innes was assaulted outside her residence in Plumstead, situated in south-east London, as confirmed by the Metropolitan Police. While two other individuals were threatened with a knife during the incident, they fortunately did not sustain any injuries, according to authorities.
The suspect, Giorgio Pin, aged 62, was apprehended approximately 20 minutes after law enforcement was notified. Pin has been formally charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder in connection to the tragic event.
Law enforcement received reports of a man wielding a knife in Red Lion Place at 8:50 am on Wednesday. Ms. Innes was discovered wounded outside her home and was swiftly transported to the hospital by the London Ambulance Service, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Pin, a resident of Brookhill Road in close proximity to the incident location, is scheduled to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday for legal proceedings.
