The nurse, Kirstie Roberts, aged 29, noted recurring phrases commonly spoken in those last moments. She shared, “Every individual who is nearing the end expresses similar sentiments. They frequently say, ‘Please convey my love to my family,’ ‘I am not feeling well,’ and ‘I sense my impending death.’
“There is a mysterious awareness that emerges, a spiritual transition, defying explanation. Despite stable vital signs and an unchanged medical condition upon arrival, there is no clear indicator of imminent danger.” Kirstie emphasized that every patient she has been with during their final moments seemed to have an intuitive understanding of their passing, a phenomenon she has not been able to medically justify despite her extensive experience in the field.
She noted that regardless of the medical interventions administered or tests conducted, individuals uttering those particular phrases inevitably succumb. Kirstie shared, “Witnessing patients pass away never becomes easier to handle. We invest significant time in caring for patients and fostering relationships with them and their families.
“With time, we come to terms with this stark reality of our environment, finding solace in knowing our efforts suffice. Life encompasses a profound spiritual aspect.
“It transcends mere accumulation of worldly possessions that we eventually leave behind. It revolves around loving the Divine, cherishing others, and embracing gratitude for all blessings.”
