“Dangerous Weapon Stash Uncovered in St Helens”

Police responded to a property in St Helens following the discovery of a stash of dangerous weapons. Merseyside Police were alerted after reports of unpaid building materials being taken from an address in Rainford to another location on Friday, January 23.

Law enforcement located the stolen materials at a nearby site and conducted a search, uncovering zombie knives, air rifles, BB guns, and crossbows. Two individuals, aged 41 and 27, from St Helens, were apprehended on suspicion of possessing firearms, handling stolen goods, and theft. They are currently in police custody for interrogation.

Authorities are conducting further searches at the property on Saturday morning, with a cordon in place as the investigation progresses. Detective Inspector James Rotheram emphasized the importance of removing these weapons from the streets to prevent harm in the community. He urged anyone with relevant information to come forward to aid the investigation.
