Prince Andrew has shut down one of his main businesses in anticipation of his departure from the Royal Lodge. Pitch@Palace, a venture established in 2014 to connect entrepreneurs with potential investors, is set to be dissolved on February 3, as per filings with Companies House. The UK arm of the operation had a dissolution application submitted in November, signed by the sole director, Arthur Lancaster.
Although Andrew’s company ceased operations in late 2019 in the UK, Pitch@Palace Global continued its international activities. Despite interest from Dutch firm Startup Bootcamp to acquire the initiative, the deal fell through in 2025. Most of the remaining funds have been withdrawn in recent years, with the latest accounts showing a balance of just £10,965 in March, significantly down from £220,990 the previous year. The Mirror has reached out to Andrew for a statement.
According to The Sun, a close associate of Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor mentioned that Pitch@Palace Global faced a gradual decline and became unviable after Andrew lost his royal titles. The venture, once a source of pride for Andrew, has now been wound up, signaling the start of his exile and potentially retirement.
As Andrew prepares to vacate the Royal Lodge following his eviction by King Charles last year, he is expected to move to Marsh Farm, a smaller property on the Sandringham Estate. Initial impressions of the five-bedroom house were reportedly negative, with Andrew describing it as remote and below his expectations.
The decision to leave Royal Lodge came after revelations that Andrew had been paying a nominal rent for the £30 million property. Following the publication of Virginia Giuffre’s book “Nobody’s Girl,” which contained accusations against several public figures, including Andrew, he was stripped of his titles. Andrew has consistently denied all allegations.
