Ardal Loh-Gronager wedded the affluent businesswoman Wei-Lyn Loh in 2019, but their marriage ended in 2023 due to his costly extramarital affair. He lavished his mistress with gifts and cash from their shared account, leading to a significant financial loss after a contentious divorce battle.
Despite the ex-banker’s expectation of a substantial £6,449,802 payout based on a prenuptial agreement, the court reduced it to £2,369,385. His ex-wife, a successful businesswoman and trust beneficiary, alleged that he had already received around £4 million through improper transfers and investments using joint account funds. The court also criticized his attempts to manipulate evidence, including fabricating emails to support his case.
The judge highlighted Mr. Loh-Gronager’s misuse of joint account funds for personal gain, undermining his wife, and engaging in deceptive practices during the legal proceedings. The court ruling exposed his financial misconduct and deceitful actions, resulting in a substantial reduction in his entitlement. The judgment, delivered by Mr. Justice Cusworth in October, recently became public, shedding light on the contentious financial dispute between the former couple.
