Israeli Intel Expert Warns of Potential Iranian Terror Attacks in UK

Date:

A former Israeli intelligence officer has suggested that Iran might orchestrate terrorist attacks in the UK as a response to the ongoing conflict with Iran. Sima Shine, a seasoned Mossad agent specializing in Iran, discussed the possibility of Iranian operatives being activated in Europe to carry out attacks. While no such incidents have occurred yet, she cautioned that Tehran could potentially engage in such activities.

According to Shine, there are reports indicating Iran’s efforts to utilize their agents and criminal connections in various locations to facilitate attacks. Despite these efforts, they have not been successful thus far. When asked about the threat to London, Shine noted that while she couldn’t recall specific incidents in the UK, Iran has a history of carrying out attacks globally, indicating that the UK could be a target in the future.

Shine emphasized Israel’s awareness of Iran’s preparedness for war, mentioning that Iran had contingency plans in place to replace senior leaders in the event of casualties. She highlighted the regime’s strategy of ensuring continuity by swiftly appointing replacements for key positions to maintain stability.

Regarding Iran’s military strategy, Shine echoed the views of many analysts, suggesting that Iran aims to economically strain the US and its Gulf allies by deploying cost-effective drone attacks on neighboring countries. By utilizing relatively inexpensive drones, Iran has managed to inflict significant financial losses on countries like Qatar and Bahrain, causing damage to infrastructure and incurring expenses for missile defense systems.

Shine explained that Iran’s focus on economic warfare stems from its recognition of the vast military superiority of the US and Israel. By targeting the economic interests of the Gulf states through attacks on oil facilities and infrastructure, Iran aims to exert pressure on the US and its allies. The disruption in oil supply routes, particularly through the strategic Strait of Hormuz, serves as a crucial element in Iran’s strategy to influence global economics and politics.

Overall, Shine’s insights shed light on Iran’s multifaceted approach to the conflict, emphasizing economic leverage and asymmetrical warfare tactics to challenge more powerful adversaries.
