Man in Custody After Machete Attack Leaves Victim Injured

A man has been taken into custody following an assault in which a male suffered hand fractures and slash wounds from a machete attack.

The victim, aged in his thirties, was quickly transported to the hospital for medical attention. Lancashire Constabulary confirmed that his injuries, sustained in the incident that occurred in Seven Acres, Bamber Bridge, around 4:45 pm on Saturday, are not life-threatening.

Authorities reported that the assault purportedly involved two individuals wielding a machete and a baseball bat, with an investigation currently underway.

A 19-year-old individual from Preston was apprehended on suspicion of causing harm and has been released on bail pending further investigation.

In a released statement, South Ribble Police appealed for information about the assault, emphasizing the need for details following the attack involving two assailants armed with a machete and a baseball bat at Seven Acres.

Individuals possessing any relevant information, including CCTV footage or recordings from mobile or doorbell cameras, are encouraged to come forward.
