The President of the United States is scheduled to deliver a speech at Mar A Lago later today to prominent investors in his “memecoin.” Participation in the conference is limited to the top 297 holders of $TRUMP, a decision that has faced criticism from Democratic circles. Additionally, the top 29 coin holders will have the privilege of attending a VIP reception with Trump during the event.
To maintain the confidentiality of his remarks, two members of the President’s team intervened when a live stream surfaced on the account of a user named “Cryptohawk” just before Trump’s scheduled speech. The stream displayed the stage for approximately thirty minutes before a woman, looking puzzled while examining her phone, sought out the source of the broadcast.
She signaled a man in a suit, sporting glasses, and directed his attention to the camera. Accompanied by Robin Thicke’s hit song “Blurred Lines” in the background, the gentleman approached the streamer and inquired about the ownership of the phone. He informed the streamer that all attendees were instructed not to record the event, requested identification, and subsequently terminated the stream.
The conference follows a significant decline of 92% in the value of $TRUMP over the past year. According to the Financial Times, the cost to access the VIP reception has decreased by over 80% compared to the previous year’s event. In 2025, attendees needed to possess an average of $3,280,000 worth of the coin to gain entry, whereas this year, the average requirement is merely $539,000.
