“Six Dead in Qatar Helicopter Crash”

Authorities have verified that six individuals lost their lives in a helicopter accident in the waters of Qatar.

The Ministry of Interior has confirmed the deaths of six out of the seven individuals aboard the helicopter, while efforts are ongoing to locate the remaining missing person, believed to be the pilot.

Among the deceased are officials from Qatar and the Turkish military.

The helicopter crashed into the sea due to a technical issue during a routine operation, as per a prior statement from Qatar’s Ministry of Defence on Sunday morning.

The individuals who passed away have been identified as Captain (Pilot) Mubarak Salem Daway Al-Marri, Sergeant Fahad Hadi Ghanem Al-khayarin, Corporal Mohammed Maher Mohammed from Qatar Armed Forces, Major Sinan Taştekin from Qatar – Turkey Joint Forces, and civilians Suleiman Cemra Kahraman and Ismail Anas Can from Turkey who were passengers on the helicopter.

The Ministry has launched an extensive search operation involving specialized teams to locate Captain (Pilot) Saeed Nasser Samekh from Qatar Armed Forces and expresses condolences to the families of the deceased.

The Ministry announced via X: “The Ministry of Interior reports that in the ongoing search and rescue efforts following the helicopter crash in the state’s waters, six out of seven individuals have been found.

“The confirmed deaths of those found have been acknowledged, while specialized teams are persisting in their intensive search for the last missing person.”

The Ministry’s statement concludes: “The Ministry of Interior extends heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased, praying for divine mercy, admission to paradise, and strength for their families and loved ones.”
