“Trump’s ‘Two Kings’ Photo Sparks Controversy”

Date:

US President Donald Trump held a meeting with Britain’s King Charles, sparking controversy over the comparison between the two figures. The White House shared an image of the leaders during King Charles’ state visit to the US on a social media platform on April 28.

The photo was captioned with the words “TWO KINGS” and accompanied by a crown emoji. This post drew criticism, with former US Assistant Secretary Philip Reeker describing it as “a little bit embarrassing” during a discussion on LBC with Iain Dale.

Critics view the comparison as a political maneuver targeting the “No Kings” movement, which opposes Trump’s leadership style. Anti-Trump protests under the banner of “No Kings” have been held across the US, focusing on issues such as immigration policies and military actions in the Middle East.
