“Born Clothing Shuts Down All Stores in Ireland, 70% Off Sale Begins”

Date:

Irish retailer Born Clothing is closing all its stores across Ireland. The high street brand, which once had over 20 branches nationwide including three in Cork, is now shutting down its operations.

The three Cork locations, situated at Merchant’s Quay Shopping Centre, Wilton Shopping Centre, and Douglas Village Shopping Centre, offered a variety of clothing from different brands, including occasion wear.

Currently, there are 15 Born Clothing stores operating in the country, all of which will start their closing-down sale this week, providing discounts of up to 70%.

In an announcement on Instagram, Born Clothing expressed gratitude to its customers for their support over the 16 years of business. The retailer also recognized its dedicated staff for their loyalty and hard work.

The closing-down sale at Born Clothing will kick off on Thursday, April 23, with discounts of up to 70% on all products. The decision to appoint provisional liquidators to the company was made due to sustained losses over several years.

Born Clothing’s website confirms the company is under provisional liquidation, indicating that gift vouchers cannot be redeemed. During the liquidation sale, purchases can be refunded or exchanged within a 30-day period with a valid receipt.

Customers are informed that no gift vouchers, returns, or credit notes from before the liquidation period will be accepted. Claims for refunds or returns can be made by contacting bornclothing@bdo.ie for further instructions.
