“Victim of Jeffrey Epstein Neglected by Metropolitan Police”

Date:

Newly released documents reveal that a victim of Jeffrey Epstein claims she was disregarded by the Metropolitan Police when she attempted to provide evidence six years ago. The woman, who had visited the pedophile’s island and possessed emails containing flight details, aimed to expose the sex trafficking network and those complicit in her assault, according to a document from the US Department of Justice.

Despite her efforts, she was directed to a non-English-speaking local police station outside the UK and felt neglected by authorities, including the FBI and Scotland Yard. The victim recounted in court documents that she was subjected to multiple rapes daily while being held captive at Epstein’s residence on Little Saint James island in the US Virgin Islands, starting in 2006 when she was a 22-year-old fashion student in Manhattan.

After reaching a settlement in her legal case against Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in 2018, the woman’s trafficking allegations concerning Epstein were revisited by London police three months ago following their initial refusal to investigate. The victim made contact with the Met on January 30, 2020, following a New York Judge’s rejection of Prince Andrew’s attempt to dismiss a sexual abuse lawsuit brought by Virginia Giuffre, five months after Scotland Yard reviewed the case post-Epstein’s death in August 2019.

Additional documents disclosed by the US Department of Justice indicate that the victim provided crucial evidence in support of Ms. Giuffre’s civil lawsuit against Maxwell. Notably, the woman supplied redacted images of unidentified females and Maxwell on Epstein’s island, including a photo of Peter Mandelson with the pedophile in 2006.

The former Labour minister was arrested by the Met Police on suspicion of misconduct in public office last month in connection to his association with Epstein, although there is no implication of involvement in trafficking or sex crimes. The victim detailed her evidence, including photographic proof of Epstein, Maxwell, and others, as well as flight logs and email exchanges, in a file released by the DoJ.

The Metropolitan Police had previously examined Prince Andrew’s behavior in 2015 following Ms. Giuffre’s allegations of being trafficked to him in London by Epstein and Maxwell, but no formal investigation was initiated due to insufficient evidence of a UK offense. A Met Police spokeswoman stated that there was no record found of the woman’s call for assistance.
