“Teenage Girl Murdered in Yorkshire: Investigation Underway”

Date:

A man shared his harrowing experience of attempting to rescue a 16-year-old girl whom he believed had been stabbed in the back and neck. The 64-year-old grandfather performed CPR on the teenager after she was discovered unconscious in his neighborhood, but sadly, she passed away in the hospital shortly after.

An investigation into the murder of the teenager was initiated after the tragic incident occurred early on Saturday morning. Three adults and one child were taken into custody in connection with the case.

The police launched a public appeal to identify the teenager, and it was later revealed that she resided with her family in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, around 16 miles away from where the incident took place.

Following the identification of the victim as Chloe Watson, her friends paid tribute to her on social media platforms. A fundraising campaign was set up by Chloe’s cousin, Shantelle Watson, to help give her a proper farewell.

Two grandfathers in the area attempted to save Chloe after finding her injured on their street. Wayne Mallows, one of the grandfathers, described the moments leading up to his involvement in performing CPR on the young girl.

Despite the distressing events, Mr. Mallows recounted the details of the morning and expressed his struggle to erase the girl’s image from his mind. The peaceful neighborhood, where the incident occurred, is typically occupied by elderly residents.

The police were alerted to the scene at 5:55 AM on Saturday, where the girl was discovered with severe injuries. Four individuals, including two women aged 18, a 20-year-old man, and a 17-year-old boy, were apprehended on suspicion of murder.

Authorities confirmed the victim’s identity as a 16-year-old from Cleckheaton, and her family is being supported by trained officers during this challenging time. Detective Chief Superintendent Marc Bowes urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.

For those with information, the police can be contacted through various channels, including phone, live chat, or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
