Chloe’s cousin, Shantelle, initiated a Gofundme campaign that has reached £11,943. Expressing her grief, Shantelle stated, “I’m setting up a go fund me for my 16 year old cousin who’s life was sadly taken in tragedy, 16 years young didn’t even make it to her 18th. Her whole life was taken in a flash over a boy, her mum is distraught she has left two younger siblings behind. I wanted to create a go fund me to help give her the best send off possible she didn’t deserve this she was so full of life such an innocent beautiful soul taken too soon.”
Heartfelt floral tributes with messages like “Rest easy my Chloe. Love you forever my crazy girl” adorn the street where Chloe’s life was cut short. A photo of Chloe has been affixed to a roadside box among the growing collection of flowers and notes. Meanwhile, forensic investigators are actively working at the scene on Kennerleigh Avenue.
Residents and well-wishers continue to pay their respects, with one individual leaving a toy at the site and recalling fond memories of Chloe playing with their dog in the past. Reflecting on the tragedy, local resident Gillian Brook expressed deep sympathy, highlighting the sudden and heartbreaking loss of a young life in what is typically a quiet neighborhood.
Detective Chief Superintendent Marc Bowes, leading the investigation, urged anyone who was in the vicinity of Kennerleigh Avenue in the early hours of Saturday to come forward with any information that could aid in the inquiry.
