“Car Collides with Japanese Restaurant in Leicestershire”

One individual has been swiftly taken to the hospital following a car collision with a Japanese sushi restaurant in a Leicestershire town. The incident occurred just after 4pm on Saturday, April 11, when a Ford Kuga veered onto the pavement on Bell Street in Wigston, crashing into the Shokudo Japanese restaurant.

Emergency services, including police, paramedics, and firefighters, promptly responded to the scene. Leicestershire Police confirmed that a person inside the establishment was hospitalized with injuries described as non-life threatening.

The two occupants of the Ford Kuga, both elderly individuals in their 80s, emerged from the incident unharmed. An eyewitness, opting to remain anonymous, recounted hearing a loud bang before witnessing the extensive damage caused.

According to reports, no arrests have been made in connection with the crash. Police officers are actively investigating the circumstances of the collision, which involved a Ford Kuga mounting the curb and colliding with a building, while also reviewing CCTV footage.
