“Tragic deaths of two young boys in Wolverhampton fire”

Date:

Two young boys who tragically lost their lives in a house fire in Wolverhampton have been identified by the authorities. The victims, three-year-old J’Saun and one-year-old Xaliq, perished in a fire that erupted at a residence on Mason Street around 8:30 pm on Friday. Despite the rescue efforts by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, the boys were pronounced dead at the scene.

Before emergency services arrived, two other children and a woman managed to escape from the property and were examined by paramedics but did not require hospitalization.

A woman in her thirties, who was taken into custody on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of the two children, has been released on bail pending further investigation, as confirmed by a spokesperson from the West Midlands Police.

The authorities are collaborating with the West Midlands Fire Service to determine the cause of the fire. The family of the deceased boys has requested privacy during this difficult period.

Detective Inspector David Cooper stated, “Our ongoing investigation aims to uncover the complete circumstances surrounding the fire incident. We are providing support to the family of the two young victims during this tragic time.”

Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the police at 101, quoting log 5640 of April 24.
